worth the wait, even if it's a long one - very memorable and unforgettable, from coffee to food, seems like is everything right in this place!
Very good coffee. Nice service. Roasted in the house, something for every taste.
Excellent coffee stop in a city with plenty of great coffee shops. After visiting on my first day I proceeded to have breakfast and coffee there every day
Great coffee. Different types of coffee in different preparation forms. The food was delicious. From now on this is my number one for a breakfast coffee.
Perfect place to have brunch at. Reasonable prices and cozy atmosphere. And of course GREAT COFFEE !
Despite the great rush, we didn't have to wait too long for a table. The coffee was very, very tasty and the bowls were good too. Value for money was okay. The portions themselves are a bit smaller than you might expect.
Cozy atmosphere. Try their classic açaí bowl!
Really good breakfast with an excellent coffee. Here's something for every taste. We also had a great view through a window seat.
It is delicious. The portions are enough too. I give 4 fixed stars
Up for delicious, locally roasted coffee? This is your spot 🙏 Nice, industrial style café - indoor seating ground floor & upstairs - this place gets packed!!! Choose between a light, medium or dark roast & the brewmethod of your liking, order yourself a beautiful plantproof 🌱 (vegan) bowl, or a non vegan sweet/savory dish - get comfy (if you're lucky enough to catch a seat 😺 otherwise you may have to be patient and wait till someone frees a spot - well worth it tho!!!) enjoy and soak in the vibes. Very friendly staff, huge windowfront with great views out the back towards the water. When ever I get back to Hamburg this is where I'll swing by for coffee, breaky/lunch - socialize, meet some friends & have a good time.
Very nice place. We had breakfast here on a Sunday morning. DO reserve a table before you go. Otherwise you end up waiting 40-60 minutes outside. The prices are OK I think. The staff were very kind and friendly. Highly recommended.
The atmosphere in the café is very nice and the coffee is delicious! The brewed coffee variations are very tasty - sugar is not necessary as the taste is an experience! You have to expect a long queue, but you get good coffee!
Worst quality in food, but the people working there are nice.
Over-rated place, 45 minutes of waiting, although some tables were empty the whole waiting time. Food is average, poached egg was not as soft and runny as it was supposed to be. The presentation itself is nice, very instagrammable, beautiful colors and very nice contrast, and along with the good coffee, those were the reason for giving some stars.
One of the best coffee i have ever tried. Really loved the place. The mango cheese cake is a must try. Sitting area was okay. Only problem is the place is too much noisy and had to wait in the queue to get a place to sit. Overall it is a must try for coffee lovers.
We love going to the North Coast! First things first: The coffee tastes good! The flat white is perfect. In addition to pancakes and waffles, you can also order panini and sandwiches. We had the bread with organic scrambled eggs on porcini mushroom butter with turmeric chilli cream and parmesan and a buffalo mozarella panini. Very tasty and a good portion for the price. The cinnamon buns are delicious there too. You can also buy self-roasted coffee beans from there. Porto Blend is my favorite.
We have been here one year ago and it was so much better than it was now. First of all, we ordered Kenya filter coffee and it supposed to be very acidic. Unfortunately our expectations didn’t meet reality. So we decided to ask waitress why it is not so acid. Unfortunately she didn’t even understand what acidity means and just said - oh sorry. While she could just ask barista why it is like this or offer us to change it for new one. Second of all, last year this place had such a great classic cheesecake. This time we went there and found out that cheesecake became sooooo small , looked like a cookie. And costed €3,20... not worth it at all anymore. So we wish this place to be little bit more customer oriented and teach all employees at least something about coffee, especially when you position yourself as a Coffee place + Roastery and selling coffee beans. Additionally, I would suggest to offer customers bigger cheesecake for that high price. We hope that next time we will be visiting Hamburg we could come again and see some improvement.
Mostly a line and waiting time, however it was worth the wait for us. The coffee is fantastic, as is the breakfast, the homemade lemonades and the composition of the menu. The service is friendly and does what it can - it might not hurt to have another person in action so that everything goes a little faster.
Really enjoyed this place.
Excellent coffee and good breakfast options
Very nice breakfast options. Good coffee. Fair price. Beautiful atmosphere. Excellent service.
Hipster cafe with long waiting times and tiny overpriced breakfast/meals. 45 minutes waiting time for eggs and pancakes. Service is friendly and coffee is good though. Wouldn’t recommend unless you have a lot of time.
Delicious food but the service is underground. We had reserved in advance and were initially forgotten half an hour in front of the door (we had said that we had reserved and we were told they would pick us up right away. When we went in after half an hour and asked, the table was probably already one Empty for a while, so we could have saved ourselves the wait in the cold, someone would have said something). Then there was no cutlery for dinner, our request for salt and pepper was forgotten, as was our question as to whether we could have the menu again (we wanted to order something, which we then left because nobody seemed to care). Paying wasn't easier either, at some point I got up and ran after the waitress to be able to pay. The breakfast was good, but I wouldn't do this bad service again for it!
Great waffles and great coffee. We had the waffle with fruit, delicious
The place is very cozy. The food is delicious and very well presented. I had a Kenyan filter coffee that was good, however the flat white, not so much. The espresso was very strong and over roasted. The place is super busy and the wait outside can be long, like 45 minutes. After the long time waiting outside, the waitress took the order from 2 other tables that arrived after us, so the service seems quite disorganized.
Good coffee but too crowded. Also bowls should be better for the price.
This place was packed on a Friday, we waited for a table in line for 40 minutes and had someone come talk to us twice The confusing part was to see empty tables, at first I thought they were understaffed but then it became clear that they took reservations! So definitely reserve if you can! The breakfast was delicious though! And the service was not as slow as we thought, they were nice The one thing we weren’t crazy about was the flat white, it was not a great cup of coffee I actually preferred the hand brew 🙂 Great location for us tourists 👍 In corona times make sure to check out the menu online #coronatip It was a great value for money too 🙂
Great place for breakfast/brunch ! The coffee is amazing and is directly brewed there. The food is delicious and everything is homemade. Staff is friendly and welcoming. Big up to the waffel. 100% value for money !
The food was delicious, but the cappuccino wasn't really my taste. Two stars deduction for the disproportionately long waiting time, both in front of the café (approx. 45 minutes) and when ordering. The bread we ordered unfortunately only came on request and the second drink was unfortunately completely forgotten. All in all, more something for the eye or Instagram than for a relaxed brunch.
Very nice breakfast with extraordinary taste. Different from other places.
Great food and atmosphere. Very good quality of coffee. Place is always crowded and you have to prepare to wait a bit, especially during the morning but definitely it is worth it!
Good coffee, good breakfast! The banana bread pancakes are awesome. Make a reservation if you want to eat there it’s always got a line out the door for breakfast.
Were there during the week but still had to wait about 15 minutes for a seat, which is understandable if there are no tables available and you have not made a reservation. What didn't work at all was the waiting time until breakfast came, we waited a full 35 minutes, which is absolutely incomprehensible with scrambled eggs with bread and a bowl, by then the coffee was already cold. But the food was very, very tasty and a great coffee selection for all coffee fans. Conclusion: you can have a delicious and cozy breakfast here but you should bring enough time!
Cafe good, waffle too dry. Loud ambience. It was hard to understand that one waffle was almost twice as expensive as the other, despite the similar topping. That leaves a strange aftertaste. Paying a surcharge for oat milk is no longer appropriate and rather discriminatory.
Really good coffee! The food looked lovely too.
Very bad customer service! We waited a total of an hour for a table. Waiting itself is not a problem. If, however, one table after the other becomes free and the service staff disinfect the same table three times in a row, play with the mobile phone behind the bar and three of the seven outdoor tables are free for twenty minutes (despite 15-20 people in line) - then ask you can really see whether the patience of the waiting guests is being deliberately put to the test. Conclusion: never again!
Exellent coffee and absolutely unique view
By far the worst service I've ever had! Queuing for 50 minutes, 3 groups preferred, impossible to find a solution for 5 people. When a table finally became free, our stay was limited to 1 hour as the table would be needed later. Unfortunately, relaxed breakfast looks different! Very disappointing, was probably the first and last visit here.
Awesome coffee, nice interior. Waiters let us wait too long between asking what would we like, but otherwise helpful.
The place is very busy so I didn't eat there, but bought amazing Kenia Kahuro AA coffee, roasted only a few days ago. Very good roast. Edit: next time I tried their Black Opium espresso blend and it was great, such a caramely taste with notes of vanilla, seems to contain the Guatemalan coffee for the most part. It was a beautiful coffee masterfully prepared.
Great waffels
Long queuing during the week (20 minutes) although 2 tables were free, but the staff did not comply. Overall, it takes far too long (45 minutes for breakfast = 2 loaves of bread with eggs). Service is nice and quality is good, but need more staff or better organization, because it works in other shops too ...
Excellent café with excellent food. Great and very friendly staff
Delicious food and good cafe. But the price is a bit too high for the long waiting time. In general, the service is relatively slow. So take your time with you despite your reservation ... And make a reservation in any case!
A truly great coffee place - you don’t have to be a coffee aficionado to appreciate the outstanding coffee.
The coffee is roasted on spot and it’s amazing!!! Some really good sandwiches and bowls. We loved the banana bread pancakes 🥞 This coffee place is Recommended !!!
The quality and taste of the the coffee was truly outstanding
Took a while to get a table, but the food and coffee was worth it.
Amazing service, a great taste of coffee.
Great 😍
